| 6x9' speakers are typically installed into the parcel shelf of vehicles. This is done by either cutting holes in the existing parcel shelf, or making/purchasing a new shelf. This does not suit everyone! These TL-1690 enclosures enable a pair of 6x9' speakers to be mounted neatly without having to cut into the parcel shelf. The boxes can then be positioned wherever they can be securely and safely mounted. Most commonly this is on top of the parcel shelf, facing towards the front of the car. However, the positioning is not limited to the parcel shelf. They could be attached to front or rear door cards or even under seats, space permitting. The use of the TL-1690 is not necessarily limited to the vehicle either. Both the TL-1691 and TL-1692 6x9' speakers can be used with the TL-1690 enclosures to form fantastic full range speakers for bedroom or front-room stereo systems, TV systems, PA systems, etc. |
